Lagos Uber Driver (Mr Hammed Olojo) Tries Lagoon Suicide over N90k Debt

Hammed Olojo, 31 was on Sunday evening limited by agents of the Rapid Response Squad on watch of Third Mainland Bridge from hopping into the Lagos Tidal pond.
Olojo, who drove himself to the Bridge in a Uber Toyota Corolla car, owned by Kalejaiye Oluwaseyi, had composed a short note and left it in the car when he was stopped by the officers who observed him a while before challenging him.

Addressed by RRS Commander, ACP Tunji Disu on why he thought about suicide, Olojo, an ex – convict, responded that he was owing N10,000 in Court 3, Ikeja High Court and the car owner N80,000. He expressed that things has been so tough for him and that he had attempted every single conceivable intend to get by with no achievement.

Olojo revealed that his wife had convinced him from proceeding with his suicide however his mind was set and was bolstered up of everything. Olojo, had intended to leave a short note in Yoruba and converted into English in the automobile for his wife before jumping into the Lagos Lagoon.
