EFO RIRO(SPINACH) AND ITS AMAZING BENEFITS


Efo Riro is a wealthy vegetable soup this is native to the Yorubas of Western Nigeria. The veggies that can be used to cook this soup are Efo Shoko or Efo Tete (green Amaranth). If those aren't simply to be had where you live, leafy or frozen spinach is a excellent alternative.

assorted meat, fish, massive quantity of inexperienced veggies and peppers(tomatoes are added, once in a while). this is considered one of my cross-to dishes , because I’m a massive fan of greens. This highly spiced ,savory soup may be followed with bolus meals, such as Amala, Elubo, Pounded yams, Fufu (akpu), Eba or Tuwo Shinkafa .It also is going quite well with boiled Rice, plantains or yams. although it is a Yoruba soup, Efo Riro is loved in all parts of Nigeria. if you love healthful soups, this is a should-strive….excite your palate with this highly spiced soup .


HOW TO PREPARE EFO RIRO SOUP 

1. Season and cook the assorted meat and fish with onions, one inventory dice, a touch salt and different seasoning of desire. keep in mind to cook the tougher meat first(in my case;tripe(shaki)
cook until the liquid inside the pot is nicely absorbed(dried up) and the meat and inventory fish are smooth .

2. In any other dry pot, warmth up the palm oil, until it begins to smoke a little. add the floor tomatoes & peppers and fry until the mixture loses its sour taste; this takes approximately 15- 20minutes.

3. Now add the cooked meat & fish. add floor iru, ground crayfish and inventory cube. blend very well, cover and leave to boil for 10 minutes.

4. After 10 minutes, add the veggies and salt to flavor. blend properly and leave to simmer for five minutes and your delicious  Efo Riro soup is ready.
